Chaiya verdict

CONTEMPT :Somchai Wattanakarun, a Central Administrative Court judge, said the court would hand down a verdict on Public Health Minister Chaiya Sasomsab's alleged contempt of court on Monday.

Mr Chaiya, along with the publishers of Manager Daily, Matichon and Post Today newspapers, were summoned to a court hearing on July 2. The case involved an interview Mr Chaiya gave, which was deemed to be contempt of court, as he questioned the justice and the qualifications of the judges who granted the reinstatement of the Government Pharmaceutical Organisation board. The party's over

POLITICS :The Prachamati party's executive board has decided to dissolve the party due to a lack of management budget and popular support. Party leader Pramual Rujanaseri said the board came to its decision because of a lack of financial resources to fund the party.

He said the board's decision will be forwarded to the Election Commission, the registrar of political parties, on Monday.
