Last week, Chiang Mai was not only flooded with forest water, but also with bounced cheques. When the flood reached the city's business area, the Regional Power Board cut off the electricity for fear of danger from electrocution. As a result, the electronic banking system was also cut off causing cheques to bounce. This Post Today excerpt has more details.
