Thai Premier League champions Muang Thong United were drawn into an easy group in the AFC Cup yesterday.
The Kirins, who were eliminated in the AFC Champions League qualifying round, face South China of Hong Kong, V.B. of the Maldives and Indonesia's Persiwa Wamena in Group G.
FA Cup winners Thai Port FC, the other Thai club in the tournament, were handed a tough task against SHB Da Nang of Vietnam, Tai Po of Hong Kong and Geylang of Singapore in Group H.
The top two teams from each of the eight groups advance to the knock-out stages of Asia's second-tier club competition.
The first round of matches in the competition are scheduled to be played on February 24.
